Many may be familiar with the major three broadcasting companies such as ABC, CBS, or NBC, but with the expansion of cable and online streaming, there are now thousands of companies who are parent or sister companies.

Some of the following companies may be affiliated with your local broadcast shows that are linked to your local news stations or radio stations. Others may offer various positions in major cities they are headquartered in or even work from home opportunities.

I encourage anyone to visit their local broadcasting businesses first to find local work. Those sites are generally more up to date than the national sites because they may have faster access to update the information. These include radio and television stations. For those starting out, check out your local college radio or television stations.
